Accommodation in Les Arcs varies greatly over the different villages. For a much quieter, more relaxed feel and quick access to the town in Bourg Saint Maurice choose Arc 1600. Party-goers would be foolish to head anywhere other than 1800 but if it’s luxury you’re after then the newly built 1950 is for you. The more advanced skiers who are here for some serious piste-time tend to head to Arc 2000 for the doorstep skiing and immediate access to the famous Aiguille Rouge glacier.

When choosing accommodation in Les Arcs for a family holiday it may be wiser to choose 1600m or 1950m as these are the more ‘family-orientated’ resorts; everything seems to have been designed with family holidays in mind, with the ski schools, shops and restaurants clustered tightly together. At the slightly quieter resorts you are also guaranteed to get a more satisfying night’s sleep. 1800 is buzzing well into the night, which can make getting up for ski school a bit of a struggle, whether you were out with the partygoers or not.
