Ski Holidays In Les Menuires

Les Menuires offers some of the most competitive deals in the Three Valleys area. If you are looking for the cheapest way to explore the Three Valleys ski area then Les Menuires is the way to do it. Situated directly beneath Val Thorens (the highest resort in Europe) a ski holiday in Les Menuires gives you access to the biggest linked ski area in the world with over 600km of breathtaking pistes.

The resort of Les Menuires itself is split into 6 smaller villages, with a shuttle bus running between them all day, reliably, every 20 minutes. To reach Les Menuires from Moutier, in the valley, it is only a 40 minute transfer bus up the mountain, and the whole journey from Geneva airport is doable in less than 3 hours, or less than 2 hours from Chambery airport.

Skiing In Les Menuires

Skiing in Les Menuires caters for every ability with lots of beginner zones and lots of easy green and blue runs. For the intermediate and expert skiers the access to Val Thorens, Courcheval, Meribel and Saint Martin De Belleville means you will not stop discovering new terrain to play upon.

Les Menuires is one of the first ski resorts to offer the ‘Snow Guarantee’ label due to its high altitiude and excellent snow making facilities when it is looking a little thin on the ground. With over 600km of piste in the entire linked ski area, there’s too much piste to let it go to waste.

If you fancy yourself as a budding freestyler then be sure to check out Les Menuires’ BK Park, or any of the other 3 snowparks in the linked area including Courchevel’s famous DC Park. Les Menuires also has the Walibi Gliss area, a family fun area with a boardercross, blue slalom, and a musical zone.

Skiing Les Menuires is famous amongst The 3 Valleys ski instructors for its abundance of breathtaking off-piste skiing. Until you have straightlined through the Les Menuires powder fields to skim across the top of the river in Lac De Lou, you’ve not experienced the real heights of off piste, it is a firm favourite

Accommodation In Les Menuires

Accommodation in Les Arcs varies greatly over the different villages. For a much quieter, more relaxed feel and quick access to the town in Bourg Saint Maurice choose Arc 1600. Party-goers would be foolish to head anywhere other than 1800 but if it’s luxury you’re after then the newly built 1950 is for you. The more advanced skiers who are here for some serious piste-time tend to head to Arc 2000 for the doorstep skiing and immediate access to the famous Aiguille Rouge glacier.

When choosing accommodation in Les Arcs for a family holiday it may be wiser to choose 1600m or 1950m as these are the more ‘family-orientated’ resorts; everything seems to have been designed with family holidays in mind, with the ski schools, shops and restaurants clustered tightly together. At the slightly quieter resorts you are also guaranteed to get a more satisfying night’s sleep. 1800 is buzzing well into the night, which can make getting up for ski school a bit of a struggle, whether you were out with the partygoers or not. If you are interested in a saving money with a cheap get away to the Les Arcs we offer you the choice of Multi Residence in Arcs 1800 and Arc 2000.
Apres Ski In Les Menuires

When the last lift slows to a halt and the sun is dropping behind the mountain, it’s time to ditch your skis for the day and find something else to do. It is at this point that the true variety Les Menuires has to offer really comes to light. Although it is a quieter resort in terms of drinking, partying and clubbing, with a much smaller selection of bars and a more peaceful vibe, for the action hungry and families it has huge appeal.

Apres ski attractions to keep the kids busy in Les Menuires include the aquafun swimming pool (complete with wave machine and massage jets); the Fun Park soft play area with trampolines, ball-pits and big slides; and the ‘Sliding Castle’ which consists of snow structures built purely for sliding down on their plastic shovel toboggans. In short, there is a LOT of fun to be had off the slopes in Les Menuires.
